It provides four times the shade with a single post thus maximizing your shaded area and options for furniture placement. The pole and arms are constructed from durable Iroko wood. Measuring an impressive 5.9 x 5.9 inches this pole and these arms are thick enough to support the four umbrellas. The side post and arm are constructed with a marine-grade Iroko wood. This wood is tough dense and very durable. Iroko wood is medium to coarse in texture with an interlocking grain that often produces interesting patterns. The color varies from pale golden brown to dark chocolate brown. The Iroko wood used in this umbrella is individually selected to be suitable for use outdoors and has a protective finish to protect it from sun moisture and any kind of wood parasite. It is a stable wood resistant to compressions weights bending and hits thanks to its elasticity.The free-standing base features all steel powder-coated construction and measures 46L x 41W inches. To secure this base you will need to add 12 2-inch cement 20L x 20W inch stones or four 4-inch cement 20 x 20 stones for a total weight of 580 pounds. These flat stones can be purchased at your local hardware or garden store. Base has adjustable bolts for easy leveling and can also be bolted into place.The canopy is constructed of Corti the European equivalent to Sunbrella. This solution-dyed acrylic fabric is breathable and goes through an anti-mold treatment. A techno-guard finishing is applied to the canopy resulting in a fade-resistant water- oil- and dirt-repelling fabric. Vents in the canopy provide air passages to allow for more stability in heavier winds.
